Walgreens trip 9/14

I used the $10 off of $40 purchase that I thought expired yesterday, but actually expires today. My checker forced it through before all of my coupons or it wouldn't have rung up correctly. I used my $10Register Reward from my Robitussin Deal.
Here's what else I used and where I found them:
South Beach Diet Bars (we love these and haven't been buying them because of $) I bought 6 boxes. They were one sale for 2/$5 -I had 4 $2.oo off coupons - and I'll get the rebate on my gift card for $5.oo. TOTAL = .33 per box
The cheese was 4.59 and the crackers were 2.50. I had a coupon from last month's All You magazine(buy it at Walmart for 1.75 Totally worth it!) that was for free Kraft singles and one for free wheat thins if you bought 3 Kraft products (South Beach bars are from Kraft) TOTAL PRICE= Free
Chex mix is on sale for .99 I used 2 1.00 off coupons TOTAL = they paid me .2
The Action Scrubbers ( I already bought one, and loved it so much that I went back for 2 more) were 3.79. I had 2 coupons for 2.75 off (you can still get these coupons HERE). The Windex and the Scrubbing wipes were 2.49 each and I had a 1.00 coupon (from my package on my last one). They are on rebate, so I will get $5 back for buying 4 items TOTAL = $1.06
Walgreen's Feminine products were 2/4.81Salt .89MY FAVORITE BUY - Magic Dri Idea Clinical Strength Deodorant (cue heavenly choir music) is 8.99 (actually worth it) I used $1 coupon (Sunday paper) and will get $3 back in rebate to my gift card, Total = 4.99
Somethings not adding up right in my list, but my total was 9.31. I got a Register Reward coupon for $5 off my next purchase from the cleaners and I will get $8 to my card. Not bad!

Attn Walgreens Shoppers

My key board is still broken, so my Post Title looked like this until I fixed it: ATN WALGRENS SHOPERS I. I really should take care of that. Maybe I will, now thatmy sister is gone and I'm not taking joy in it getting on her nerves. It brought back memories of singing opera style at the top of my lungs while she tried to talk on the phone. Why do the second children take such pleasure in irritating the first borns? My only answer is that I don't know why, I only know the great joy that it brings to my soul.

Back to Walgreen's, I missed the coupon for buy one Pantene shampoo and one Pantene conditioner and get a Pantene styling product TOTALLY FREE! I'm glad I hadn't done my purchases yet, now I can get Kiki that hairspray she's been needing! So, go get last Sunday's paper, it's worth it

Walgreens coupon

Hey Hey Hey, I just got an email from Walgreen's inviting me to spend $20 tomorrow and save $5. Here's that link if anybody wants to get that very same coupon (here).BTW, I was there yesterday for emergency eggs and they had some hair color that was on sale 2/3.99. My hair doesn't look worse than it did, so I guess it's ok stuff (Leanna, I'm talking to you, if you want me to color your hair. Do you?).Also, I just called their customer service to check on my rebates and my gift card will be in the mail this week. That's like $35 coming my way!

Latest Walgreens Steal

I feel bad for blogging about a deal that's over, but I'm just so excited that I have to tell you about it. I stopped at Walgreen's yesterday for a bag of nuts on the way to the Tball game. While I was there I checked their ad one last time since it was ending and I hadn't (dang, I just dropped ice cream on my keyboard) gotten anything. I noticed that ibuprofen was on sale if you bought three bottles (100 ct) you got them for $4 each, then I remembered that they have a rebate this month that gets you $10 back if you buy 3, plus the 10% bonus for getting my rebate in the form of a gift card = $1 for all three bottles. How amazing is that?! Kiki and I get killer headaches several times a week so we go through this stuff like I'd like to go through M&Ms or bacon. What is it about the smell of bacon that is so wonderful it brings a tear to my eye? Just thinking about it makes my ice cream taste lame because now I want that form of breakfast meat so very badly

6 Days with no posts?!?

I hope you all think I was being "disciplined" and "productive". I totally wasn't, unless you call being completely and overwhelmingly obsessed with online couponing, productive. It is beneficial to my home making "career" and Chris is getting into it too. We've gotten a lot of free stuff, or nearly free stuff, and we've spent very little on our groceries. Some of the MANY websites I've become obsessed with checking daily are:

http://freebies4mom.blogspot.com/
and http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/
and http://www.moneysavingmom.com/
and http://www.becentsable.net/.

I'm now checking the weekly online ads for each grocery store and mapping out how to get the best deals for each one without going out of our way, making multiple trips, or wasting gas. I never, ever shop at Fred Meyer, but as we passed it this week I ran in and grabbed ground beef for 99cents a pound and chicken for 88 cents. I stuck to those items, too, so I didn't buy anything that wasn't super cheap.

I had no idea that Walgreen's offers so many free after rebate items. And the rebates are online now, so I don't have to rely on myself mailing something in, which never happens. Walgreen's is the closest store to me and on my way home from anywhere, so that's working out well. They also give you coupons at the register for cash toward your next purchase. My last two trips have yielded a $5 and $7 towards next purchases. Pretty cool stuff. MoneySavingMom has a great tutorial on making it all work HERE. That's just for Walgreen's, but she has many more as well. I had to print it all out and study it to understand it. I'm slow, but determined.

I'm in the process of blogging about our Memorial Day (at home, in the rain) weekend. Nothing exciting, but still decent. This will probably be one of those ten posts in one day days, so try to keep up, y'all.
